Newfoundland and Labrador has till not too long ago been bucking the pattern on the subject of enterprise funding in Atlantic Canada.
The Fraser Institute’s newest report reveals that whereas enterprise funding within the Atlantic Canadian area is down, Newfoundland and Labrador is doing effectively, at the very least in recent times.
That’s in line with the report’s creator, Alex Whelan, who says the oil and gasoline sector and Muskrat Falls are a part of the the reason why.
He says in line with the most recent information, which dates from 1990-2018, Newfoundland and Labrador attracted funding that was 23 per cent larger than the nationwide common, and the hole between NL and the opposite Atlantic provinces is “even larger than that.”
